Join us as we explore central and eastern Germany, taking in seven cities in seven nights.
Your stay includes predominantly 4* hotels¹, a hearty breakfast each morning as well as all transfers (people carrier).
There will be historical walking tours in most cities en route.
Most evenings a dinner reservation will be made, however this is optional as it is not included in the package. Lunch is also not included.

Arrival in Berlin
Itinerary: An evening walking tour including a visit to some of the Christmas Markets.

11 Dec
Berlin & Potsdam
Itinerary: Our day starts with a historical walking tour, to the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie. From there we will followed by a subway ride to Alexander Platz and a stroll along the river Spree to the East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall).
In the evening, we will take the train out to Potsdam. A change of pace from Berlin, but just as historic.

Berlin – Braunschweig
Itinerary: An early start after breakfast as we drive around 3-hours to Brunswick, or Braunschweig auf Deutsch. After checking-in to our centrally located accommodation we will explore the old town and as nightfall’s immerse ourselves in the Christmas market, with its stunning backdrop of St. Blasii Cathedral, Vieweg House and Dankwarderode Castle. An absolute must at the market is the Mumme-Brötchen (warm roast pork roll, topped with a thick, dark malt extract).

Braunschweig-Goslar-Leipzig
Itinerary: A short drive south to the World Heritage town of Goslar. We will explore on foot by daylight, giving you a chance to enjoy lunch at the markets or just admire the stunning architecture in this picturesque town.
We leave Goslar behind mid-afternoon and drive to Germany’s seventh largest city (and largest in the state of Saxony), Leipzig; leaving you the evening to take in all this historical city has to offer.

Leipzig-Meißen-Dresden
Itinerary: Feel free to stroll around Leipzig prior to our midday departure. Driving east, our first stop is Meißen, home of the world famous porcelain. A charming town, perched in the shadow of the impressive Albrechtsburg Castle. You will have the chance to tour the factory and watch live demonstrations of pieces being made. The Christmas market in the main square will be the perfect way to end our time here, before we head to Dresden.
Both hotel options look out over the Neumarkt with views of the Church of our Lady (Frauenkirche)

Dresden
Itinerary: Waking up in the state capital a full day of exploration and historical enlightenment awaits.
After a hearty breakfast a walking tour will cover the most important parts of the old town, meaning you are free in the afternoon to discover them in more detail at your own pace.
We will then meet early evening at the Martin-Luther statue – equidistance between the two hotels – and enjoy a few Glühweins at the Christmas market.

Dresden-Berlin
Itinerary: Returning to Berlin for one final night, and a chance to spend the evening at the Christmas markets.
A final dinner will be arranged, but again as with all evening meals, this is optional.

Berlin (end of tour)
Itinerary: The tour ends after breakfast.
